Here at Vision Center of Lake Norman, you will get all of these things and more when you bring your family to our experts for your vision-related care. Because we treat everyone from children to the elderly, your entire family can be cared for by our same considerate and expert team here at our vision center.

We test for many different diseases here at our vision center in the Statesville, North Carolina area. Because we are a vision center, of course we test for many eye conditions like glaucoma, red or dry eyes and vision problems. However, our expertise doesn’t stop there. We can also check your eyes for issues that might be caused by damage from diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, autoimmune disorders and more. Using state-of-the-art equipment such as the Icare system and OPTOS retinal imaging, we are able to get a more comprehensive view of your eyes and give you more details about your scope of care.

What Does an Optometrist Do?

You may know that when you have to visit an eye doctor, you are seeing an optometrist – but what exactly do they do?

  • Optometrists have earned a Doctor of Optometry degree to help people maintain their eye health, treat eye diseases and provide corrective services for their patients.
  • Optometrists not only provide routine eye checkups for people with healthy eyes, but also often provide treatment for medical issues, such as diabetes, glaucoma, macular degeneration and dry eyes.
  • They are your first resource when you need corrective lenses, including glasses, contacts, or protective eyewear.

Your optometrist can answer any of your questions about your eye health and make expert recommendations for improving your vision and continuing good eye health.

We use technology to our advantage at our vision center, from our equipment that helps us care for your eyes to our office records, all of which are stored and edited electronically. This helps us keep track of your information easily, without worry that a paper will be lost or overlooked during the recording process.

Whether you are looking for glasses or contacts or need an eye exam, our team here at Vision Center of Lake Norman would love to help you. To learn more about our services at our vision center, contact us today!
