Eye Care Technology Has Come a Long Way
When you go for a routine eye appointment today, you may discover that the field of optometry has been changing rapidly. While there are still certain tests that will always be done as part of your routine eye exam, such as reading the letters of the vision chart, there is more new advanced technology than ever for optometrists to use. You can now take pictures of your retina with Optos retinal imaging, or check the pressure of your eye without the “puff of air.” This allows for your eye doctor experience to be less strenuous and more comfortable, while providing more accurate results. Ask us about our in-office technology on your next visit!
When you come to our vision center, depending on your specific needs, you will be seen by our optometrist, Dr. Chuck Monson. Dr. Monson attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, where he received his Doctorate, and completed several externships before coming to Vision Center of Lake Norman. He specializes in glasses and contact lenses, family eye care, and treating various eye diseases.
