Whether you need to see an optometrist for a standard eye exam or you have concerns about your vision in Statesville, we will provide you with caring, compassionate service.
An optometrist is someone who examines, diagnoses, treats, and manages diseases and conditions of the eye. For example, optometrists can detect and diagnose vision conditions (like farsightedness and nearsightedness), eye diseases (like glaucoma), and systemic diseases that affect the eyes (like diabetes). At Vision Center of Lake Norman, preserving your eye health and enhancing your vision are what we are here to do. If it has been a while since you last saw an optometrist, we strongly encourage you to schedule an appointment with our office.
We are proud to have Dr. Chuck Monson working as our optometrist. After earning his undergraduate degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he went on to receive his Doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Dr. Monson is a member of many different associations, societies, and organizations, including the N.C. State Optometric Society, the Lake Norman Lions Club, and the American Optometric Society.
I Have Good Vision – Do I Need an Exam?
Many people who have good vision don’t feel the need to have their eyes checked on a regular basis. Unfortunately, this method for eye care can be a tricky path. Even if you were told you have 20/20 vision at your last eye exam, it’s still important to schedule an annual checkup for other reasons. For example, knowing whether you are pre-disposed to any eye diseases or whether your vision has changed since your last visit can help keep you on the path toward total eye health. Don’t wait to schedule an appointment, even if your vision is great!
Although it’s a good idea to see Dr. Monson every year for a general eye exam and checkup in the Statesville, North Carolina area, there are situations in which you should be seen by him right away. For example, you should come visit our office if your eyes are red and itchy, you see floaters in your vision, or you are experiencing blurred vision.
Whether you need to see an optometrist for a standard eye exam or you have concerns about your vision, you can rest assured that we will provide you with caring, compassionate service. For more information, please contact us at Vision Center of Lake Norman today.
