Dr. Chuck Monson has been serving residents of Mooresville, NC since 2006.
At Vision Center of Lake Norman, we are proud to have Dr. Chuck Monson as our optometrist. Dr. Monson earned his undergraduate degree in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. After earning his undergraduate degree, he then earned his Doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
From there, Dr. Monson completed externships at Eye Care Carolinas in Charlotte, The Eye Institute – Pediatrics in Philadelphia, Sinai Hospital with Wilmer Eye at Johns Hopkins University, Katzen Eye Group in Baltimore, and Advance Eye Care in Charlotte.
Dr. Monson is associated with the American Optometric Association, N.C. State Optometric Society, Lake Norman Lions Club, Mooresville Free Clinic (Health Reach), and NC Prevent Blindness. He specializes in comprehensive family eye care, glasses and contact lenses, and treating eye disease and eye trauma.
Dr. Monson and his wife also participate in an annual eye mission trip for the Bahamas Youth Network (BYN), which gives eye exams and eyeglasses to school-aged children on remote islands in the Bahamas.
In his spare time, Dr. Monson enjoys spending time with his wife, Lisa, and dog, Chopper. They especially like traveling and spending time on Lake Norman. They are members of The Cove Church and are fans of the Tar Heels and the Carolina Panthers. Dr. Monson also participates in several sports, including soccer, golf, snow skiing and wakeboarding.
